One of our main goals is to put Construcciones Otero at the cutting edge of knowledge in the strategic lines for the complete water cycle, for building construction and for sustainable urban planning.

Investment in R&D&i is a key tool in our strategy to transform our company and improve in-house management processes on the one hand and the development of new construction materials and products in the fields of the complete water cycle, building construction and sustainable urban planning on the other.

That is why we have an R&D&i Department which:

  • Is responsible for planning our corporate R&D&i strategy.
  • Seeks to reinforce cooperation with other firms and organisations with similar interests on the development of R&D&i projects.
  • Ensures that the necessary resources are available to properly implement an R&D&i management system and finance R&D&i projects.
  • Fosters a culture of corporate innovation and ensures that everyone involved in R&D&i projects is aware of the importance of R&D&i, is familiar with the company’s R&D&i strategy and goals, involve him/herself fully in terms of motivation and creativity so as to help attain those goals, has the right training and skills and is aware of the procedures and requirements that must be complied with.

R&D&i STRATEGY

Construcciones Otero sees innovation in general and R&D&i work in particular as essential elements for developing its business lines and becoming more competitive and more efficient in its processes.

Accordingly, the company has drawn up three strategy lines as a basis for its activities and the direction that it is to take with a view to acquiring the skills and know-how needed to occupy a prominent position in the complete water cycle, building construction and sustainable urban planning sectors.
